Grow it, Cook it - Sweet Potatoes

Are you looking to incorporate more fresh produce into your cooking? Are you interested in expanding your home gardening skills?

This Grow It, Cook It series, offered by the Clark County Extension Office, aims to teach participants about seasonal produce and its various uses and health benefits.

Heidi Potter, Agriculture and Natural Resources Educator, will provide lessons on plant identification, gardening, plant selection, and harvesting, while Emma Finerfrock, Health
and Human Sciences Educator will cover the nutritional value and preparation techniques of the spotlighted foods! Participants will be encouraged to engage in hands-on gardening activities and sample freshly prepared recipes!

Session One: Radishes - Wednesday, March 6
Session Two: Irish Potatoes - Tuesday, April 9
Session Three: Eggplant - Wednesday, May 15
Session Four: Sweet Potatoes - Wednesday, June 5

Class capacity is limited to 15 per session, and registration is required!
Registration opens one month in advance for each class.
